Seoul, Korea, July 18, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that it has completed the development of ‘NFC Total Solution,’
with plans to make full-fledged entry into global NFC markets.
 
SK Planet’s NFC Solution is the end result of its extensive service experience, operational know-how, and technological
capabilities in NFC. The company plans to target global markets with NFC Total Solution that enables clients to efficiently
establish application services and infrastructure by utilizing core NFC technologies.  
 
SK Planet systemized its operational know-how, its software component such as NFC software developer kit (SDK),
terminal/server API, and smart tag, as well as hardware component including NFC USIM standard to develop the Solution.    
 
The NFC Total Solution works on multiple NFC devices and across diverse communication environments, giving its clients –
mobile carriers, financial service providers, retailers, USIM suppliers, etc. – customized solution that best serves their
business needs.  
 
The customized solution gives customers access to NFC SDK and terminal/server API, enabling them to develop NFC services
with ease and efficiency. Its offerings also include smart poster, NFC sticker and other tag-based services, as well as Smart Tag
Service that allows integrated management of multiple tags. As its USIM standard adopts GSMA’s international NFC standard led
by SK Planet, NFC services are securely embedded into USIM.
 
Other applications include recommendation service for useful NFC-enabled applications, introduction of NFC services
developed through SK Planet’s NFC platform, and application that lets users manage all NFC services stored in the customer’s
USIM card in one place.
 
SK Planet is currently in talks with Indonesia’s terminal suppliers and Thailand’s mobile network operator, with plans for
full-fledged entry into global NFC markets.

SK Planet formed an alliance with a group of Korea’s top NFC technology firms under the name of ‘NFC Biz Partner Group’.
SK Planet has also been at the forefront of facilitating the adoption of NFC technologies, as demonstrated by its roll-out of
one-stop NFC service named NFC & Joy last year at Incheon Munhak Baseball Stadium, home to SK Wyverns;
commercial launch of NFC-enabled mobile payment services with Samsung Card and Shinsegae last month; NFC-based
mobile membership issuance service; NFC pilot project in Myeong-dong area; and demonstration of NFC-based services
at Yeosu Expo.
