SK Planet announced that today it holds SK Planet Tech Day, a technology-centered event that brings together some 300 R&D
employees of SK Planet and its five subsidiaries (LOEN Entertainment, SK Communications, Commerceplanet, Mad Smart,
and Paxnet) to create synergies by leveraging their collective technologies and R&D capabilities.

The event to be held at Patio9 will feature presentation sessions on 16 core and service technologies driving the platform
industry which include ▶SK Planet’s open platform ‘Planet X’ ▶ sentiment analysis platform that measures sentiment in online
news, blog and SNS text ▶ live commenting plugin ‘Affogato’ and ▶ high-volume traffic control technology.

In addition, 16 exhibition booths will showcase ▶T Map 4.0 ▶ NFC open platform ‘SmartTouch’ ▶ Mobile in Vehicle (MIV) technology
▶ Nate TV’s smart TV app ▶ global mobile messenger TicToc Plus and other services under development by SK Planet and its
affiliated companies, giving participants a valuable opportunity to exchange their expertise and technical know-how.

Since its debut in October 2011, the annual Tech Day visited the company’s subsidiaries on a quarterly basis to hold workshops,
allowing much more interaction between participants. Attendees not only shared latest trends in the platform industry but
presented actual field cases and discussed practical ways to create synergies between different services.

Such rigorous discussions and interactions produced notable results in 2012 in the form of One ID, open platform Planet X,
and T Map’s map embedded in Nate.

“If last year’s event gave us a chance to get a deeper understanding of the services offered by other firms and opened the door
to a stronger cooperation, this year’s gathering will be about translating unlimited scalability of the platform industry into actual
services,” said Jeon Yoon-ho, Senior Vice President and Head of SK Planet’s Platform R&D Office. “It will be a stepping stone
for SK Planet and its subsidiaries that aim to become a technology-oriented global platform player.”
