T Store Evolves into an Expert Content Recommender

2013.01.04
-  T Store 3.0 upgraded with personalized contents recommendation and enhanced instant view
-  Suggests contents based on purchase history and offers customized recommendations by situation and theme
-  Introduced T Play to give access to webtoons and VOD contents for free

Seoul, Korea, January 4, 2013 – SK Planet today announced the launch of T Store 3.0 (m.tstore.co.kr) with enhanced
personalized contents recommendation and instant view features.

The upgraded T Store picks contents based on individual preferences, which are identified using the proprietary data
mining algorithm and analysis technology.

The new addition to the first T Store screen is App Coordi which recommends contents based on the user’s personal
preferences. App Coordi analyzes the contents the user has bought in the past and combines the results with the
purchase histories of other users who have bought the same contents. Based on the analysis, the app picks out
contents that are relevant to the user from a library of over 400,000 contents.

Thematic recommendation is another novel feature which suggests contents based on the individual’s age, the season,
time of day and mood. It is a search page where one can look up all the contents given the user’s current status or
situation, and it enables a smarter and personalized search than actually keying in a query.

Users can also modify the screen UI to their liking. They can configure the initial T Store page so that favored contents
categories are just a touch away. The order of the categories can also be changed to reflect personal preferences.

For those who wish to keep up with the latest in multimedia contents, T Play is just the thing. It allows a three-minute
preview of the new flicks, broadcasts and music with a single touch of the fingertip. Users can also get free access to
webtoons like Woodoomeori (The Boss) and Dalma Gwajang (Mr. Dalma) without installing a separate app.

When users connect to T Store, it will automatically upgrade to version 3.0 beginning with the SK Telecom Galaxy S3
later to expand to other models.

“T Store is now used by 19 million people, and with steadfast commitment to openness and innovation we have
endeavored to build a mobile contents ecosystem both home and abroad,” said Park Jung-min, Senior Vice President
and Head of T Store Business Division of SK Planet. “We will continue to challenge ourselves to make T Store
the ‘mobile playground’ where users can truly enjoy a variety of contents.”

T Store is a marketplace of contents open to all Android smartphone users regardless of their preferred carrier.
As of January, 19 million users enjoy more than 400,000 apps, games, VOD, e-books, music and shopping
coupons available on T Store.
