SK Planet Launches T Ad Search, a Mobile Search Ad Solution

Seoul, Korea, June 21, 2013—SK Planet has released T Ad Search, a search ad solution optimized to the
mobile environment.
 
Developed in partnership with Neoclick, T Ad Search turns up ads that are relevant to a query that a person has
keyed in while using an app or the mobile web.  
 
SK Planet has been quite active in delivering in-application banner ads, reward-based ads and rich media ads
in the mobile web environment through its T Ad platform. By launching T Ad Search it has expanded into the
search advertising business.
 
T Ad Search is unique in that it not only delivers ads on the mobile web but also does so in the app environment
by applying a user interface in the form of a search window. For example, a game configured for search ad will
display ads and promotional information in text and/or banner format when the player keys in a relevant query.
 
The mobile search ad has the advantage of being able to target more finely segmented audience groups. Mobile
users tend to make more specific queries that reflect their location, time of day and situation. According to SK Planet, this
is exactly why mobile search ads can deliver more relevant and effectively targeted ads.
 
To maximize this potential, SK Planet incorporated several technologies into T Ad Search that enable optimal search
ad delivery. For example, T Ad Search supports contents matching to analyze images, videos and texts to extract
keywords which would then be used to present the most relevant ad. The SK Planet team is also planning to roll
out various other capabilities, including voice search support and the use of location information to target the advertising.
 
SK Planet is working to further develop the many opportunities that can be had from linking mobile advertising with
the mobile device features such as map viewing, voice communication, and accessing SNS. In the latter half of this
year SK Planet will incorporate search ads to the SK Planet family of services including T Store, T Map, hoppin,
Smart Wallet, 11st and OK Cashbag.
 
SK Planet will also disclose the T Ad Search API to developers later this year. By using T Ad Search API to develop
apps that can support both banner and search ads, developers will enjoy higher profits from mobile advertising.
