Seoul, Korea, August 19, 2013—SK Planet today announced that it entered into a partnership agreement with
Woori Bank. The agreement signing ceremony, held today at SKT Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by
SK Planet CEO Jinwoo So and Woori Bank CEO Lee Soon-Woo.
Under the partnership agreement, SK Planet and Woori Bank will provide customers with new value by
combining their respective strengths - i.e. SK Planet's know-how in mobile platform industry and Woori Bank's
expertise in financial services - to launch diverse bundled products, while also introducing innovative services
aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
As a company that places the highest value on its customers and partners, SK Planet has been focusing
on building an enriched mobile platform ecosystem through diverse programs of Open Innovation Center and
T Academy. Also, Woori Bank, under the slogan "A Bank that Customers Can Rely On," has introduced the
'Project of Giving Hope' early this year to offer financial support to individuals and SMEs adversely affected by
the economic downturn.
Through the partnership, the two companies will soon launch joint marketing activities for SK Planet's recently released smart child care service 'Near Kids (
www.nearkids.co.kr),' and begin sales of related bundled products.
Near Kids is a comprehensive smart child care service that cater to the needs of all stakeholders:
Parents, who wish to keep their child safe at all times; nursing teachers, who wants to be able to focus solely
on child care instead of being distracted by inefficient paper work; and nurseries and child care centers that
wish to build a mutually trustful relationship with parents through interactive communication.
Moreover, under the partnership, SK Planet secures a nationwide sales network through Woori Bank's
1,000 branches, and Woori Bank further expands its product offerings by launching differentiated products
targeted at toddlers and children.
SK Planet and Woori Bank said that strong efforts will be made to combine SK Planet's expertise in mobile
platform business and Woori Bank's financial service capabilities, which includes the development of
services that marry new IT services with financial products.
