Seoul, Korea, July 10, 2014—SK Planet announced a T Map upgrade for a dramatically improved UI. T Map 4.4 supports users with faster and easier access to features.
 
T Map is the leading GPS navigation service in Korea favored by 18 million people as the fastest and the most accurate provider of route guidance. The latest update is focused on meeting the various route information needs of the user more quickly while also improving the speed of the real-time route guidance.
 
The updated T Map comes with a ‘frequent routes’ feature. The user may store most often visited destinations such as home or office to see the time to arrival on the first screen without doing any searching. Route guidance to those pre-set destinations is just a touch away.
 
Other enhancements have made T Map 4.4 easier to use. The menu is simpler, and the palette format of the screen layout is much more intuitive with the effect of making the UI more user-friendly. Having noted how often T Map is used by people travelling on foot, our team has rearranged the access to public transportation information, such as buses and subways, to be given on the first screen. Moreover, information about the area of the user’s current location can also be viewed easily without starting another app.
 
The banner at the center of the screen provides useful information such as road access restrictions, T Map charge and explanations about key features. In addition, useful contents such as travel ideas for weekends, vacations, holidays and varying seasons, and tips on vehicle maintenance will be selectively provided.  
 
T Map 4.4 gives easy access to information without having to search, which will help make SK Planet’s communication with the user more meaningful.
