     into 150+ languages
and viewed by 10 million visitors a month
-  Lays the foundation for the advancement of its new media business by acquiring know-how in video platform

Seoul, Korea, October 21, 2011 ― SK Planet today announced its strategic investment in ViKi (CEO Razmig Hovaghimian,
www.viki.com), as part of its efforts to expand into global video platform market.

SK Planet and BBC Worldwide participated in ViKi’s fund-raising campaign as key strategic partners, along with ViKi’s major
shareholders, Viki Greylock Partners and Andreessen Horowitz who made new investments in ViKi that raised a total of USD
20 million (KRW 22 billiong) in new funding.

ViKi is the first and the fastest platform for real-time subtitling of video where the content is translated into 150+ languages by
a community of avid users. It officially opened its services in 2009 and surpassed 10 million monthly visitors in October this year,
thanks to its streaming service for movies and television shows sourced from BBC, NBC Universal, Fuji TV, and other content
providers across the world including US, Asia, and Europe. The global TV site closed licensing deals with the big three television
networks in Korea, which led to the success of ‘Playful Kiss,’ Korean hit TV series translated in 53 languages.

In Crunchies Awards 2010, known as the Oscars of the IT world, Viki was named the Best International Startup in January this year,
garnering much attention from the IT community. TechCrunch, a web publication dedicated to IT, recognizes the most promising
startups and founders across 20 categories every year. In 2009, Crunchies Awards went to Facebook and Google, while in 2010,
Apple and Twitter, along with Viki, were named the winners in the Best International category.

SK Planet’s strategic investment in ViKi gave it the right to a seat on the 5-seat Board of Directors and Park Yong-gil, SK Planet’s
Head of New Media Business Unit was appointed to fill the seat. Joichi Ito, director of MIT Media Lab, is also a member of the
ViKi’s Executive Board.

“This investment will pave the way for our new media business to expand into overseas markets,” said Park Yong-gil,
SK Planet’s Head of New Media Business Unit. “By working with ViKi, we will identify new business opportunities and advance
into previously untapped territories.”

SK Planet will collaborate with ViKi in diverse areas such as content supply and platform technology for personalization and
advertising, while jointly developing global content platform for K-pop culture, as part of its efforts to take its business global.
