Paper Stamp Cards Go Digital with SK Planet’s Smart Wallet

2011.11.21
-   Smart Wallet service expands to include smaller-sized local merchants by replacing paper stamp cards
-   Users can simply tap NFC tag or enter password to collect stamps and redeem coupons

Seoul, Korea, November 21, 2011 ― SK Planet today announced that it added new value to Smart Wallet, its mobile wallet service,
by introducing mobile stamp card feature that allows customers to store their paper-based stamp cards in their mobile devices.

Thanks to the addition of the new feature, 3 million users of Smart Wallet who used the service to earn rewards points on retail
giants’ mobile membership cards such as Happy Point, CJ ONE and Lotte Members, can also put paper stamp cards issued
by smaller-sized merchants on their phone.

The mobile stamp card service lets businesses convert their paper stamp cards into a digital form to store in Smart Wallet.
Merchants interested in launching a loyalty card can visit a dedicated website for business owners (biz.SmartWallet.co.kr) to
join and enter store information as well as offers.

The process is also quite simple for customers as well. Users search and download mobile stamp card of a given store and
tap the NFG tag with their phone to collect stamps or redeem coupons. Non-NFC smartphone users can also enjoy the same
service by typing in a preset password.

Smart Wallet mobile rewards program allows participating merchants to systematically manage information such as customer
age, gender, frequency of store visits and number of coupons issued, and use it as an effective marketing tool targeting the
3 million Smart Wallet users. The service will be available in Misslee Café, Leonidas, and T World Café from today and the list
of participating retailers is expected to grow rapidly.

“With the number of Smart Wallet users soaring, we expect mobile stamp card to help businesses attract and retain customers
and actually improve their bottom lines,” said Kim Soo-il, SK Planet’s Head of Commerce Business Division. “We will sign up
more retailers to participate in the service and add more functions to broaden the availability of mobile wallets and deliver
differentiated customer experience.”

Smart Wallet is SK Planet’s mobile wallet service that allows customers to store and use multiple membership rewards cards,
coupons, Gifticon, gift certificates, credit cards and more on their Android and iOS (iPhone, iPad) smartphones, regardless
of mobile carrier. Since the service launched in June 2010, it has signed up 108 brands including Happy Point, CJ ONE,
Lotte Members and OK Cashbag to participate. Currently, 60,000 stores around the country accept Smart Wallet used by
3 million customers.
