video lectures, Heemang App Courses and regional partners

- As of 2011, cumulative number of graduates stands at 9,000 and 64% of graduates from intensive course successfully

- T Academy expected to shape into Korea’s representative IT training institute that leads the mobile ecosystem

Seoul, Korea, January 9, 2012 SK Planet announced that it today begins full-scale provision of intensive training courses
for mobile application developers with the launch of intensive course in content and service planning, - following the intensive
courses in development of Android and iPhone applications - thereby bringing the total number of enrollment in intensive
courses to 75.

Intensive course will provide in-depth training for seven to nine weeks to turn students, aged between 19 and 48, into mobile
experts. The courses started off with an integrated orientation program designed to familiarize students with the courses and
boost communication between students, developers and organizers.
■ Offering upgraded training programs for 2012
Beginning with the integrated orientation program, T Academy will operate upgraded training programs aimed at promoting
mutual growth and collaboration with developers. Building on its achievements made last year where it focused on expanding
the number of beginner-level developers, T Academy is planning to increase the number of intensive training courses that
include project implementation, while opening new courses that take advantage of SK Planet’s open platform.
In addition, it will establish a support system to help developers commercialize their applications through collaborative projects
and facilitate the development of global applications to be offered on qiip, Japanese version of T Store and Cyworld App Store.
T Adademy will also offer improved programs aimed at promoting coexistence and mutual growth. They include a wider variety
of online video lectures that enable developers (regional developers and incumbent developers) to receive training anytime,
anywhere; an expanded eligibility of Heemang App Course to include the marginalized residents of both Seoul and Gyeonggi-do,
and strengthened cooperation with local governments and institutions by forging partnerships with those in Jeolla-do and
Gangwon-do (in addition to its existing partnerships in five provinces).
“Based on its experience so far, T Academy will offer much advanced training courses in 2012 to create a mutually-beneficial
environment, “ said Lee Joo-sik, SK Planet’s Head of Service Platform Business Unit. “T Academy will firmly establish itself as
a representative educational and training institute in Korea that shapes the mobile ecosystem, and provides practical support
for smartphone application planners and developers in Korea so as to help them achieve business success.”
■ Recording 9,000 cumulative number of graduates by 2011-end and 64% graduates from intensive training courses
found jobs or started their own business

T Academy was established on March 29, 2010 to nurture professional developers by providing systematic education and
training, and help individual developers and small-and medium-sized IT developers hone their skills and capabilities.
In 2011 alone, it produced 5,700 graduates (offline courses), bringing the cumulative number of graduates to 9,000, trained by its
133 professional lecturers.
Since its foundation, T Academy has been creating a healthy mobile ecosystem, taking on a role that goes beyond that of a mere
IT training institute by helping graduates find jobs or start their own business through job fairs, online Job Store and mobile
application business start-up course. As a result, 64% of graduates from intensive training courses found jobs or started their own business.
T Academy has partnered with local governments and provincial universities in the second half of last year to bring its courses to
larger parts of the country so as to boost the mobile IT industry all across the nation. Furthermore, Heemang App Course, being
jointly operated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, has released the second round of graduates last year.
