Seoul, Korea, January 26, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that it held a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony
with Turkey’s Dogus Group (Do?u? Grubu, CEO Hüsnü Akhan, http://www.dogusgrubu.com.tr/en) for a stronger cooperation
in new Internet business.

SK Planet’s CEO So Jin-woo and Dogus Group CEO Husnu Akhan signed the agreement titled “Partnership for New Internet
Business” at Holland House, a mountain resort in Davos, Switzerland on January 25, signaling a stronger alliance between
SK Planet and Dogus Holding AS in the area of e-commerce.

Dogus Group is one of the largest private-sector conglomerates in Turkey, with a portfolio of 122 subsidiaries across seven
industries involving banking/finance, automotive, construction, media, tourism, real estate and energy. The Group’s financial
arm represented by Garanti Bank, the second largest bank in Turkey by asset, and its automotive business of vehicle import
and distribution take up approximately 87% of the Group’s total sales. The Group continues to expand its business in the region
and take its brand global.

The two companies first plan to focus on identifying new Internet businesses that combine Dogus Group’s strength in diverse
businesses with SK Planet’s competency in mobile, SNS and commerce, and then later enter into a joint investment agreement
within this year to implement the new business models.

The company said that the MOU comes as a result of discussions held between SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Dogus
Group Chairman Ferit Sahenk since last year aimed at creating opportunities for synergies.

“There are many areas where we can work together as Dogus Group has business infrastructures across diverse industries
including finance/banking, automotive, construction, media and tourism,” said So Jin-woo, SK Planet’s President and CEO.
“The cooperation is expected to strengthen SK Planet’s global competitiveness and facilitate our entry into overseas markets.”

“Technology is the key to the success of any competitive business and the main driver of future development,” said Husnu Akhan,
Dogus Group CEO. “The strategic partnership between SK and Dogus Group will serve as an important step towards restructuring
our business strategies, and we will create impressive synergies based on SK’s extensive experience in diverse fields.”

Meanwhile, SK Planet, the operator of Korea’s No. 1 mobile application store T Store, has brought its services to Taiwan and
China. And in November, it introduced the application store “qiip” in Japan, as part of its efforts to expand its services to overseas
customers and establish itself as a global application store.

Moreover, sensing the great growth potential in Southeast Asia, the company is also preparing to tap into the market by utilizing
platform and operational know-how of 11 St, which grew into Korea’s second largest online open market in just three years after
launch in 2008 and currently leading the mobile shopping industry.

SK Planet’s expansion into global markets is gaining momentum thanks to its release of global Cyworld, a multilingual SNS
platform; roll-out of applications such as STARCALL and Sundew that target global markets; and entry into new media
business in Southeast Asia with Korean contents.
