SK Planet’s T Cloud Evolves into a Truly User-friendly Service

2012.04.04

-  Enables users to manage content by uploading meta-information instead of full original file
-  Allows users to share and send content using mobile phone contact and NateOn friends list
-  Implemented upgrades to make T Cloud more social and allow deeper social integration with SNS
platforms such as Cyworld, Facebook and MelOn

-  Holds promotional giveaways for 30 days, starting from April 16 to celebrate service upgrade

Seoul, Korea, April 4, 2012 — SK Planet today announced a major upgrade to its personal cloud service named T Cloud
whose new function will enable users to utilize meta-information to manage content, for the first time in the world.

T Cloud was launched in September 2011 to allow consumers to seamlessly manage, stream and share photos, music,
videos, documents and other content stored on Android smart devices and Windows based PC, using multiple devices,
free of charge.

Thanks to the addition of the new feature, users can choose to store just the meta-information* on T Cloud server,
instead of uploading the full original file, and retrieve/use the content across multiple devices.

*Meta-information refers to small segments of “information about information” such as thumbnail image, original file
name, file size, filename extensions, etc.

The new function will benefit service users by reducing the time and cost associated with uploading high-volume contents
on server and enabling users to efficiently manage limited cloud storage space.

Moreover, SK Planet implemented additional upgrades that make the service more social and convenient. Users can now add
T Cloud friends not only from their mobile phone address book but also from NateOn friends list. The company also allowed
for deeper social integration by linking the service to other service platforms such as Cyworld, Facebook and MelOn.

Moreover, T Cloud users have free access to ‘Lounge’ where they can upload/download and share content, and leave comments
among a designated group of friends without charge.

“In this age of Smart IT, the main thrust of cloud service is not its storage space but user convenience. SK Planet will continue to
identify new features and service ideas to increase its user-friendliness,” said Lee Joo-sik, SK Planet’s Head of Open Social Business Unit.
Meanwhile, SK Planet will hold promotional giveaways from April 16 to May 15, to celebrate the recent upgrade to T Cloud. For
