Seoul, Korea, April 2, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Mad Smart, a start-up
venture known for its mobile social services TicToc.
 
The acquisition will enable SK Planet to offer powerful global mobile social services by combining SK Planet’s expertise
in content delivery and e-commerce, SK Communications’ (affiliate of SK Planet) internet-based services, and Mad Smart’s
technological edge. Together, the three companies aim to create new success stories that demonstrate the power of collaboration.

Since its establishment in March 2011, Mad Smart has been providing compelling mobile messaging services named TicToc,
which garnering much attention from the IT industry with its impressive record of surpassing 10 million downloads in just five
months after launch in July 2011.
 
Mad Smart is also noted in the industry for its top engineering talents with rich development experience in areas such as search,
server and client system, along with its signature server engineering capability that delivers optimal performance, energy efficiency
and cost effectiveness.
 
Mad Smart CEO Kim Chang-ha has a proven track record of performance and leadership. The developer-turned-entrepreneur
previously worked with Neowiz, 1noon and NHN in which he served as the youngest vice president. 
 
SK Planet said that Mad Smart’s firm commitment to increasing global user base as well as speedy decision making and execution
also made it an attractive acquisition candidate.

Mad Smart currently has over 9 million user base through TicToc that broke 14 million download mark, and is expanding into
social networking platform with its new services such as ‘Gurum’ and ‘Moim’.
 
SK Planet completed the acquisition of entire Mad Smart shares held by its founder, major shareholders, angel investors and others.
The acquired company will operate as an independent subsidiary to preserve its distinct entrepreneurial spirit, with all Mad Smart
employees remaining with the company.
