SK Planet’s Tech Planet 2012 Kicks Off November 14 in Seoul

Seoul, Korea, October 8, 2012 SK Planet today announced that it will hold Tech Planet 2012, the company’s annual global tech
conference that features technology trends and best practices in ICT industry, on November 14 at InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel
Harmony Ballroom located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
 
At the inaugural conference, SK Planet will showcase latest innovations and capabilities of its globally competitive technologies
deployed in its diverse platform services. The tech conference will also include sessions presented by a broad spectrum of
speakers invited from global IT firms as well as notable startups who will share their insights into global technology trends and
their implications for the future.
 
SK Planet plans to develop Tech Planet as a conference dedicated to global and emerging technologies, and a platform where
developers and industry experts meet to discuss key technologies and explore their applications as well as future directions.
 
“SK Planet’s Tech Planet will provide a unique opportunity for Korean developers to explore global ICT technologies, without having
to go overseas to attend global conferences,” said Jeon Yun-ho, SK Planet’s Head of Platform R&D Office.
 
This year’s Tech Planet 2012 is focused on providing advanced content across four key technology tracks: Social, UX/UI, Big Data,
and Server Programming. SK Planet engineers and invited speakers will present over 14 sessions, along with keynote address
and special events. Simultaneous interpretation will be available throughout the conference. 
 
Companies participating at the event include global industry leaders such as Adaptive Path, a user experience design and
consulting firm and Accenture, a global consulting firm that will present on successful service experience and big data trend,
respectively. Emerging technology startups taking part in the event include Expect Labs and Maluuba* that have been recognized
by Tech Crunch, a web publication dedicated to IT, and other industry insiders.

Online registration for Tech Planet 2012 opens on October 23 and registration fee including lunch is KRW 10,000 which will be
donated to increase accessibility of IT for underserved population.   
 
Additionally, SK Planet will hold Code Sprint 2012, an annual online programming competition until early November. The contest
has two rounds in which professionals and student developers can participate for a chance to win MacBook Pro with Retinal Display,
