SK Planet Implements ‘One ID’ Service

-  One ID service allows users to synchronize ID and password across eight services provided by SK Planet and its affiliates

Seoul, Korea, September 25, 2012 — SK Planet, SK Communications, and LOEN Entertainment today announced plans to
launch ‘One ID’ service that collects minimum amount of personal identification information for registration on October 10.

The new service is aimed at enhancing customer convenience and implementing personal information management system
that requires minimum amount of personal information such as email address, country, birth date, without collecting Residence
Registration Number or real name for registration in eight services offered by SK Planet and its affiliates, namely, T Store, T Map,
T Cloud, hoppin, Nate, Cyworld, MelOn, 11 St. However, 11 St will require users to provide their real name to create an account.
After consenting to terms of use, users can selectively sign up at any of the eight websites with One ID or change their old ID or
email account to One ID. The new service is designed to allow users to manage all accounts with a single ID and password,
which are synchronized across different services.
 
As part of its efforts to make the service more convenient and user-friendly, SK Planet plans to allow transfer of points such
as dotori (digital cash) between different service accounts and offer diverse payment options.
 
“Our main focus was on bringing added benefits and convenience to customers, such as ease of use and management,”
said Kim Jang-uk, SK Planet’s Head of Open Social Business Division. “We minimized the amount of personal information
we collect to satisfy our customers as well as government requirements, while further bolstering security to make the service
more reliable.”
