Seoul, Korea, April 20, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that its Smart Wallet, Korea’s largest mobile wallet service,
has issued over 10 million loyalty cards.
 
Smart Wallet is a mobile wallet service that enables customers to use their smartphones to store loyalty card, coupon, Gifticon,
gift card, credit card, and public transit card, and track reward point balances and credit card transactions.
 
Smart Wallet, whose subscribers topped 4.5 million and downloads 7 million this month, is currently offering its services at 80,000
stores nationwide by forging partnerships with 31 companies that have 160+ brands including Happy Point, S-Oil, and Kyobo
Book Center.
 
Passing the one million mark is indicative of the growing importance of mobile for both customers and businesses. Smart Wallet
brings added convenience to customers by enabling them to download mobile membership cards, accumulate/redeem points,
and receive coupons in one place. Businesses can also benefit from the service as it allows them to sign up more customers
in a shorter period of time, as compared to plastic forms, and use it as an effective marketing platform. Moreover, by converting
plastic cards into digital form, mobile wallets reduce economic and environmental costs involved in issuing plastic cards.

Meanwhile, Smart Wallet supports diverse payment options to deliver greater convenience to users. With Smart Wallet,
customers can store credit cards including Hana SK and Shinhan cards on the their smartphones; pay with mobile gift
certificates at major department stores (Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai), convenience stores (FamilyMart, etc.), and merchants
(Aritaum, etc.); and use direct carrier billing and electronic currency (T Money) for small purchases.
 
In addition, small businesses that cannot afford the same customer loyalty programs as large companies can benefit from
mobile stamp card service which can serve as an effective marketing tool.   
 
Smart Wallet is available at T Store, Google Play, and Apple App Store to be enjoyed by all Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad)
smart devices, regardless of mobile carrier.
