- Smart Wallet’s mobile gift card service expands its availability across the nation, while adding gift giving feature

Seoul, Korea, May 14, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that its Smart Wallet, Korea’s largest mobile wallet service,
has expanded the reach of its mobile gift card service to convenience stores and Caffebene nationwide. 
                           
Smart Wallet’s mobile gift card service was introduced to bring added convenience to customers by enabling them to reload
and redeem cards after checking their balances and transaction history conveniently in one place. The mobile service
has been well received by customers by replacing their plastic versions and text message-based gift certificates that are
difficult to keep track of. 
 
Thanks to the service expansion, mobile gift card service is now available at 20,000 stores in the categories of convenience
store (FamilyMart, GS 25, 7-Eleven, and Buy the Way), Coffee shop (Caffebene), and cosmetics store (Aritaum).
 
Smart Wallet’s mobile gift card service added a new feature that allows users of any smartphone, regardless of mobile
carrier, to buy and send mobile gift cards, together with a personalized message simply by inserting recipient’s phone
number. Feature phone users and smartphone users without Smart Wallet application can redeem the sent card by using
barcode sent via MMS.  
 
“Customer convenience improved greatly as mobile gift card service has been made available across the nation and thanks

to expand the list of our partners and increase the availability of our services to realize the full potential of mobile commerce
that promises greater customer convenience.”
As Korea’s largest mobile wallet service launched in June 2010, Smart Wallet enables customers to use their smartphones
to store loyalty card, coupon, Gifticon, gift card, credit card, and public transit card, and to track reward point balances and
credit card transactions.
 
Smart Wallet, whose subscribers topped 4.5 million in April, is currently offering the service at 80,000 stores nationwide
by forging partnerships with 31 companies that have 160+ brands including Happy Point, S-Oil, and Kyobo Book Center.
Smart Wallet is available for download at T Store, Google Play, and Apple App Store, while supported by all Android and
iOS (iPhone and iPad) smart devices, regardless of mobile carrier.
