SK Planet’s hoppin Launches ‘Kid’s Screening Room’

Seoul, Korea, May, 15, 2012 SK Planet today announced that its N Screen Service hoppin opened ‘Kid’s Screening Room’
that gives users unlimited access to a selection of popular animated videos for children at an affordable flat monthly fee.
                                     
For a monthly subscription of KRW 3,000, the lowest rate on the market, children can enjoy unlimited viewing of their favorite
animated series such as Pororo, Tayo, and Cocomong.

SK Planet’s hoppin is an N-Screen media service that enables users to seamlessly switch between multiple devices, such as
PC, smartphone, and tablet PC, when watching movies, TV series and other video content. 
 
Users interested in the new flat monthly fee option can click on the ‘Kids’ menu to sign up and gain access to 17 popular titles
(approximately 600 episodes) including Pororo, Tayo, Cocomong, Chiro, Noonbory, Kemy, and Barnacle Lou over both fixed
line and mobile (smartphone, tablet PC, etc.) networks.
Kids menu contains a total of over 40 titles and 900 episodes of animated content for children including 150 episodes of
My Friend Hobie series, one of children’s favorites, with ongoing updates to the service planned.   


“We are excited to add Kid’s Screening Room to hoppin in the Family Month and offer a variety of popular content for children
at an affordable price,” said Lee Hae-yeol, SK Planet’s Head of hoppin Business Division. “Going forward, we will continue to
identify quality content and service ideas to give users a wider range of options to choose from.”

To mark the launch of Kids menu and Kid’s Screening Room, hoppin will hold a giveaway event, giving out family vacation
vouchers, kids cartoon character products, and other presents to randomly chosen customers who make video purchase
or subscribe to one of the unlimited access packages.
Prior to adding a new screening room to hoppin, upgrades to user interface (UI) and purchasing process have been made
in advance to improve customer convenience.


As a result, new features such as genre/theme tab and TV listings are now available and newly-added My Menu button on
smartphone application gives easy access to frequently used menus and minimizes loading screen time.

SK Planet’s hoppin whose cumulative users have exceeded 2 million, is leading the N Screen and VOD service industry
with its 10,000 content offerings ranging from movies, US drama series, and animation to Korean TV programs sourced
from the big three networks in Korea and cable TV.
In particular, hoppin’s competitive advantage over competitors comes from the premium movies it offers thanks to the
largest number of licensing deals it signed with major overseas film distributors.
