QnSolv, Mcom, Harex Infotech, and AT Solution
)
-  Partnership aimed at providing developers access to development fund and support program to encourage
the development of NFC-enabled services in the areas of coupon, membership, and marketing, while facilitating
the growth of NFC industry and market

Seoul, Korea, June 18, 2012 — SK Planet today announced that it has formed an alliance with a group of technology
companies that has specialization in near-field communication (NFC), under the name of ‘NFC Biz Partner Group’.

The inauguration ceremony of the ‘NFC Biz Partner Group,’ took place today at T Tower in Euljiro where SK Planet
signed an NFC Business Partnership Agreement on NFC-related technical training and support with six partners
(SK C&C, Ubivelox, QnSolv, Mcom, Harex Infotech, and AT Solution).

The newly formed group is made up of technology companies that have high level of technological capabilities and
expertise in their own area of specialization such as USIM-based solution, mobile wallet, mobile payment, and
tag-related solution. The group of NFC experts has been working to facilitate the adoption of NFC technologies and
growth of NFC market. Going forward, it will work with SK Planet to provide support for developers who utilize
NFC technology in their services.

NFC Biz Partner Group will offer NFC technology training, service development consulting, and other business/tech
support to companies that have been experiencing difficulties in adopting NFC technology due to lack of experience
and know-how in the field.

Moreover, SK Planet plans to give individual developers and development firms access to service development fund,
sales support program, with other support to encourage the development of NFC-enabled services that utilize its
open platform tentatively called ‘Smart Touch’ in diverse areas such as coupon, membership, and marketing.

SK Planet has released diverse NFC services while leading the efforts in building a sustainable NFC ecosystem
as demonstrated by its one-stop NFC service named NFC & Joy deployed at Incheon Munhak Baseball Stadium,
home to SK Wyverns, NFC-enabled mobile membership issuance service, NFC pilot project in Myeong-dong area,
and demonstration of NFC-based services at Yeosu Expo.

Moreover, prior to the full-fledged commercialization of its open platform tentatively dubbed Smart Touch in July,
SK Planet has been expanding NFC infrastructure and strengthening cooperation with outside partners as well
as developers. Last month, it joined hands with Samsung Card and Shinsegae to commercially launch NFC-enabled
mobile payment services and plans to foster an ideal environment for evolving NFC technology and its applications.

“NFC has been an area of high interest among Korean companies so we felt the need to form an alliance with NFC
specialists to satisfy the demand,” said Kim Su-il, SK Planet’s Head of Commerce Business Division. “SK Planet
and NFC Biz Partner Group plan to lead the efforts in building an effective and sustainable NFC ecosystem
for developers that are interested in developing NFC-based services but lack the technological know-how to do so.”
