SK Planet Publishes Korea''''s First HTML5 Digital Company Magazine

2012.07.04
Publishes high-quality and small-capacity digital company magazine that can be read by all Android and iOS devices by
applying HTML 5 for the first time in Korea

Seoul, Korea, July 4, 2012 — SK Planet announced today that it published Korea's first HTML5 digital company magazine
named HUG.

HUG, an acronym for Hug, Unique and Global, stands for SK Planet's three core values, and represents the company's
commitment to turning infinite possibilities into realities through open communication with the world.

SK Planet has been issuing the company magazine every quarter since February this year to facilitate communication among
its own employees, affiliates' employees and business partners. The magazine delivers diverse interesting and informative
articles on company news, current events, platform technology and industry trends, as well as the humanities and liberal arts.

The company said that it decided to publish the company magazine based on HTML5, which is drawing attention
as the next-generation Web standard, in response to the soaring demands for smart devices and digital contents.

The existing electronic company magazine was made into heavy image files or PDF files. Also, the resolution of text differed
depending on the screen resolution of smartphones and format of image viewer format.

The strength of SK Planet's digital company magazine using HTML5 lies in that it offers optimal content resolution irrespective of
mobile device and operating system. Moreover, it enhanced the readability of letters by separating the text from images.

"With the introduction of HTML5-based digital company magazine, we are now offering an expanded channel of communication
among members of SK Planet, employees of affiliate companies and business partners," said Kim Young-chul,
SK Planet's Head of Open Collaboration Promote Center. "We will make redoubled efforts to gain unmatched leadership
in the open platform era by sharing our vision and value with our business partners and promoting win-win collaboration
with them."
