SK Planet’s T Academy to Hold Mentoring Camp Aimed at Accelerating Startup Growth

Seoul, Korea, August 12, 2013—SK Planet today announced that it will hold ‘TryAngle Challenge Camp’ as part of
its efforts to boost local IT ecosystem and accelerate startup growth. The event is scheduled to be held from September
28 to 29 at Open Innovation Center located at Seoul National University Research Park, and will start accepting
application today until September 10.  

The two-day event will give participants an invaluable opportunity to present their services to venture capital firm
CEOs, startup founders, as well as industry experts, thereby increasing their chances of success. The camp will
also feature insightful mentoring sessions to help participants build powerful business strategy, business model,
app marketing, as well as presentation.

Mentors of the TryAngle Challenge Camp will include Matthew Lee, CEO of IDG Ventures
Korea; Kim Dae-yoon, former venture capitalist (VC) of SB Ventures; Park Sung-jun, CEO of 9Flava,
Kim Joo-young, strategic planning division lead at Gamevil; Seo Yong-seok, new business division PM
at Nexon Korea; Lim Jae-hwan, mobile business team PM at Nexon Korea; and Moon Ji-young, executive at
Hoffman Agency Korea. The mentoring session will be divided into two broad categories of game and non-game.

Startups that have completed the mentoring session will be given opportunities to hold investor conferences
and pitch their business ideas to venture capitalists and angel investors at the ‘TryAngle Talk Concert’ slated
for October in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gangwon, Chungnam, Gwangju and Jeonju. Any startup less than three
years old is eligible to apply by visiting Open Innovation Center’s official website (http://oic.skplanet.com).
A total of 18 teams will make the final cut.  

“T Academy has decided to put together TryAngle Challenge Camp to impart practical tips and insights for
launching successful startups and attracting investment,” said Kim Young-chul, Chief Finance Officer of SK Planet.
“We are looking forward to receiving strong interest and support from local startups and plan on developing diverse
programs to help boost the local IT ecosystem.”
