Seoul, Korea, March 3, 2014—SK Planet today announced that its smart childcare service Near Kids (www.nearkids.co.kr) will
be offered free of charge to childcare centers affiliated with the Federation of Childcare Centers of Seogwipo, Jeju Island.

Under the partnership between SK Planet and the Federation of Childcare Centers of Seogwipo, local childcare facilities will
receive local government funding for the first time in the nation. Participating affiliated centers with a good track record will
be provided with NFC Smart Care equipment free of charge.

Near Kids, developed by SK Planet’s in-house venture program, is a smart childcare service that enables real-time
communication between childcare facilities and parents, allowing parents to feel more secure about sending their child
to daycare centers.

Near Kids is designed to meet the varying needs of both the parents and the childcare providers. It enables parents
to manage child’s arrival at and departure from the facility using NFC tagging, check smart photo album, write notes
in their child’s planner, use smart bulletin board, receive shuttle bus arrival updates and make request for medication.
Childcare providers can post notices, accept request for early leave, send photos, report missing children and more.

As Near Kids supports both mobile and internet access, allowing for real-time availability regardless of the user’s environment,
parents can manage work and childcare at the same time, without having to worry about the safety of their kids.

Near Kids is aggressively expanding the reach of it service. Following its launch in August, Near Kids has signed up
130 childcare facilities across the nation. It has also entered into a partnership agreement with Woori Bank for the launch
of bundled financial products.

Beginning with the partnership with the Federation of Childcare Centers of Seogwipo, Near Kids is in discussions over
partnership opportunities with local governments to further expand its user base, while adding on new contents relevant to
childcare and education so that Near Kids can truly become an integrated childcare service offering.
