SK Planet Kicks Off Code Sprint 2014

  an interesting and creative problem set


SeoulKorea, May 7, 2014—SK Planet today announced that it will hold Code Sprint 2014, the company’s
online programming competition for outside developers.

Code Sprint 2014 (http://codesprint.skplanet.com), an annual online coding contest powered by
SK Planet will hold its third contest to uncover original and fresh ideas that are applicable to actual service
offerings and provide talented Korean developers with opportunities to show off their skills.

Code Sprint 2014 will be held in two rounds from May 13 to 30. The first round is scheduled to take place
from May 13 to 20 and the second round from May 21 to 30. The competition is open to anyone and the
problem for each round will be published on the Code Sprint official website on the first day of each round.

Code Sprint’s programming challenges are designed to allow developers demonstrate their innovative ideas
and showcase their skills to the full. SK Planet plans to develop Code Sprint into an event that brings
the best talent from around the country by presenting a set of challenging and highly stimulating problems.

Code Sprint 2013 held in June last year had taken earlier notice of bitcoin and published a problem that involves
mining bitcoins which later emerged as a global trend, grabbing much attention from the public and the financial
world during the latter half of last year.  

Moreover, the previous edition made the news as it produced a two-time winner, while a 9th grader in junior high
school snatched the second place on the second round among participants of diverse ages and professions.

First, second, and third place winners of Code Sprint 2014 will receive MacBook Pro, MacBook Pro with Retinal
Display, MacBook Air and New iPad and gain extra priority points when applying for a job at SK Planet. Find details
