Seoul, Korea, December 9, 2014—SK Planet (CEO: Jinwoo So,
www.skplanet.com) has signed a partnership agreement with Industrial Bank of Korea (CEO: Kwon Seon-ju) for the launch of IBK card that will allow users to collect and redeem royalty points and receive benefits through a single barcode.
The Syrup integrated barcode function is designed to enable cardholders to combine points earned at different partnering merchants into one account or a single barcode.
SK Planet and Industrial Bank of Korea plans to first embed Syrup integrated barcode function into IBK-Syrup co-branded card scheduled for launch early next year.
The new co-branded card saves users time and hassle of carrying around multiple loyalty cards because this one card does it all. Shoppers can also keep track of collected points as well as discount coupons through Syrup app and enjoy shopping experience that seamlessly crosses online and offline channels.
Going forward, SK Planet will continue to expand the list of its partners in the banking and credit card industry to establish a convenient O2O environment.
