Seoul, Korea, May 8, 2015— SK Planet announced that Launcher Planet (www.launcherplanet.com), the company’s android-based smartphone home screen decoration app recorded over 4 million cumulative downloads.

Known to offer personalized and convenient smartphone user environment, Launcher Planet offers a choice of some 600 themes and 110,000 background images free of charge. Launcher Planet’s specialized features include automatic folder management, search function, and ‘service card,’ which gives users quick access to their favorite features of apps that they most commonly use by a single flick to the next screen.

‘Service card,’ a feature unique to Launcher Planet, has increased its offerings to 34 cards, which were launched over 5.1 million times, with call, weather, and fortune becoming the most widely accessed cards. Moreover, themes and background image downloads reached 5.8 million and 3.3 million, respectively.  

Two key features of Launcher Planet have been launched into two separate apps: T Search and T Background. T Search minimized the hassle of searching by integrating the search feature across information stored in the user’s smartphone such as directory, apps, files; and web search through Naver, Google, and Nate; as well as other content in MelOn, T Store, 11st, and T Map. T Background allows users to download all the free themes and background images through the app, making it much easier for customers to decorate and customize their home screen. 

‘T Search’ and ‘T Background’ apps are available for free download on T Store for android smartphone users.

To celebrate the release of Launcher Planet’s T Background app, SK Planet will hold a giveaway event until June 28th.
